Black Adder:Duel and Duality

Series: 3 Episode: 6

First broadcast on 22 October 1987. Featuring Stephen Fry as the Duke of Wellington.

The Duke of Wellington (also known as "throat slasher") challenges the Prince to a duel after the latter made sexual advances to the Duke's nieces.

Blackadder agrees to fight the Duke in the Prince's place, in exchange for the Prince's entire fortune, an amusing clock and a stack of French porn.

At first he tries to get his mad Scottish cousin MacAdder to take his place, but that plan falls through, when MacAdder runs off back to Scotland with Mrs Miggins. Blackadder is forced to go through with it himself.

The Duke fires a cannonball straight at Blackadder's chest, and his life is only spared by the metal cigarillo case that got in the way.

The Duke declares that his honour is satisfied, and promptly murders the real Prince for his insolence.

Seeing as mad King George, who now believes himself to be "a small village in Lincolnshire, commanding spectacular views of the Nene valley", does not notice any change in his son the Prince Regent, Blackadder decides to take on George's identity for a bit longer...
